Movers & Shakers – December 2008…

Below is a sample of RIOT Recruitment’s involvement in the Hawke’s Bay employment market for December 2008…

Following his distinguished career in rugby refereeing, and with the assistance of the team at RIOT Recruitment, Kelvin Deaker has joined WineWorks in the role of Chief Financial Officer. Kelvin reached the very pinnacle of rugby refereeing, having controlled 22 International Test matches, 38 Super Rugby matches as well as numerous first-class fixtures. As CFO of Wineworks, Kelvin will be responsible for managing all of the financial and administrative functions for the business.  Kelvin was the Financial Controller at Richmond’s before being appointed to the International Elite Referees Panel in 2001.

In addition, GROW Design + Advertising has appointed Robyn Hall to the role of Office Administrator. In this role, Robyn will play an active role in the day-to-day operation of the business including managing the accounts, reporting and working with the various media partners. Robyn has extensive experience in all aspects of office administration.

Also through RIOT Recruitment, Colleen Warin has joined Unison in the role of Financial Controller. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, Colleen is responsible for the full range of finance, treasury and accounting functions for the business. Prior to this appointment, Colleen held senior finance roles in leading companies including Coopers & Lybrand, Fletcher Challenge and Newmont.

Ian Dickinson has joined the team at The Rose & Shamrock in Havelock North as a Duty Manager. Ian has returned to Hawke’s Bay following a stint living and working in Picton.
